In Yoga, breathing exercises have been known and practised for thousands of years. Yoga offers many different types of prānāyāma (loosely translated as breathwork) that directly affect our neuroendocrine system. This section lists a few basic techniques that can be practised by any adult person. Please read the descriptions carefully and watch the videos (where available). These techniques look very simple and easy to perform, but incorrect performance will not give good results and may cause harm.
