All treatments that I offer are gentle and personal. One of the main components of my sessions, in addition to the therapies, is an atmosphere of trust and care, where the healing can happen naturally.

Massage treatments

Massage in the Ayurvedic tradition is one of the main components of healthy living. It nourishes and lubricates the body, it calms the mind and helps with concentration. Massage is one of the main parts of rejuvenating Rasayana therapies that support health and longevity.

ABOUT AYURVEDIC MASSAGE

Blissful Body Massage

The whole body, front and back, is massaged using warm Ayurvedic oils. This massage relaxes the muscles and other tissues of the body, unblocks and opens up the energy lines called Nadis. This creates a smooth flow of energy throughout the whole system, providing the sense of deep relaxation, soothing and revitalisation of the body, mind and senses.
Duration: 1 – 1½ hours

Marma Massage

This treatment focuses on the marma points (similar to acupuncture points) to release any blockages and revitalise the body. The marmas are the points where muscles, vessels, ligaments, bones and joints join together. They form the seats of energy and offer special pathways to affect specific organs and tissues. This massage works physically on a deeper level, reduces pain and promotes the sense of wellbeing. It is a full body treatment where the marma sites and channels connecting them are warmed up through oil massage and then worked on specifically to release and energise.
Duration: 1½ – 2 hours

Abdominal Massage

In Ayurveda, the abdomen is considered the home of the digestive fire, Agni. It is said that when Agni is in balance, no disease may arise. This very gentle massage works directly on the organs of digestion, helping support and balance a healthy life.
In addition, this massage is effective for women’s health problems because their reproductive system, which is also situated in the abdomen, is often affected by digestive problems and congestion in the pelvic area.
This massage starts from a relaxing back massage, preparing the central part of the body for deeper relaxation with the help of herbal poultices.
Duration: 1 hour

Dough Dam Basti treatments

Basti means “bladder” or “a container that holds something”. In this therapy, warm oils are used to penetrate deeply into the body by using a dam made of dough to hold the well of oil in place. This allows the oil to nourish and strengthen the associated muscles, nerves and bones in a particular area in a way not normally achieved through massage. The feedback that people share after receiving these therapies often include: peace of mind, new inspiration, warm “yummy” feelings in their heart, and simply a more abundant feeling within themselves – a sense of wholeness.
The treatment starts with a localised massage to prepare the particular area for the Basti, and during the treatment continually warmed oil is applied to the area.
Duration: 1 hour
